autumn mini sessions

The location for the photoshoots is Belfairs woods in Leigh on Sea. Exact meet up location will be shared with all clients closer to time.

Little people on their own, siblings, family, furry best friends if you have one or a special teddy your little one won‘t go without. This photoshoot‘s aim is to have some fun! Only immediate family members in one photoshoot!

Weather at this time of year may be unpredictable, some days are warmer than others. I would recommend to dress for the weather, so everyone feels comfortable and warm. It’s really important that you all feel happy.

It may feel chilly, so jackets (bodywarmer or raincoat) may be essential! Ground may be wet and muddy so wellies may be the best option (for little or big) for footwear. Woolly jumpers, hats, scarfs are great, chunky knitts and layers look amazing in the autumnal scenery!

What if the forecast is rain? We will simply re-schedule if the weather is bad, we will make decision on the morning of your photoshoot. It is advisable to block the following two weeks in your diary for rescheduling (preferably the same time as your original booking).

Choose a complimentary colour palette for everyone and stick to it. You don’t have to match, just compliment each others colours. The backdrop is beautifully autumnal, so be at one with the nature!

Colour palettes of creams/greys/denims/plums/mustards and oranges look amazing! I.e. choose a base colour (say demin and cream) and an ‘accent’ colour, like yellow.

Avoid vivid ‘unnatural’ bright colours that will draw the eye to the colour, rather than the you! Bright pinks will clash with Autumn itself, so you may like to avoid this one! Dusky pinks would work better. Try to stay away from bold, eye-catching patterns. Instead, keep it simple. Please avoid tops with large lettering or logos as these will just be a distraction.

Finally, I know black is a very popular colour, but for the scenery in Autumn… it can be a little dull!

All that said, being you is the most important thing so just wear what you feel good in 🙂

A great way to make your photoshoot unique is to bring something personal to you. Whether it is a lovely throw that you all can be wrapped around with, your child‘s teddy, wooden push cart/wagon or a basket to carry leaves or conkers, or even a pumpkin that animals can feed on after sounds like fun.

If it is wet and there are muddy puddles they can jump in with your permission so you may like to bring change of clothes. This is normally done at the end of the session so please don’t worry about carrying clothes around the woods with you. Less you have with you, the better.

You will be able to choose your date/time for you session and input your details.  Your booking is secured once payment is made, which will be emailed to you. Please check your spam folder too! The session fee is non-refundable. In an event of bad weather, I will reschedule your session free of charge. If your child appears to be poorly, please let me know as soon as you can. I have left few slots available on other days to be able to offer another time for unpredictable circumstances.

A private online gallery secured by a password will be sent to you within 1 week after your session to choose your final images for edit. Editing process will commence after the order is paid in full (if additional images are purchased) and digital download will be available within 1-3 weeks from the date of order. Prints will be posted to your address or can be collected at convenient time from my home.
