Before the vows, before the dress reveal, before the day becomes everything you planned and more than you ever expected, there is a gift exchange. But this one will be something he won’t see coming and the most intimate gift he’ll ever receive.
Your maid of honour or whoever holds your secrets best will hand him something from you. Your photographs. For his eyes only.
Bridal boudoir in Leigh-on-Sea, Southend and across Essex — available in my studio, at your place, on location or a hired space.
You’ll spend months looking forward to this moment almost as much as the rest of the day.
The morning of your wedding.
The groomsmen are getting ready, the champagne is already open somewhere and the day is just beginning to feel real.
Your friend slips away quietly with the photographer by their side and finds him before the noise, before everyone arrives.
She hands him a sealed envelope. He opens it in private. What he finds inside is a retro, polaroid-style photograph of you.
His reaction is captured. It will appear in your wedding gallery later; a moment you’ll see for the first time together. And that’s just the beginning.
Throughout the day, at moments chosen carefully by your friend, more sealed envelopes find their way to him. Each one a little surprise. Each one from you.
We’ll start with a conversation — no pressure, no agenda, just a chance to get to know each other and talk through your vision for the photoshoot.
We’ll discuss location, style, what makes you feel most like yourself and what you’d like to wear. We’ll also look at the best time for the photoshoot (to ensure your photos are ready prior your wedding day), packages and pricing together so everything is clear before we start.
Once you’re booked, my questionnaire helps us define the direction of your shoot (the mood, the feel, the story we’re telling). A visual moodboard is a great way to bring your vision to life and give us both something to work from.
I work with an incredible makeup artist who’ll connect with you directly before your shoot. Her approach is to enhance rather than transform so you still feel completely like yourself, just with that extra touch of magic. And if you’d prefer to come as you are, that’s absolutely fine too.
You don’t need to know how to pose. That’s part of my job. I’ll guide you through every movement, demonstrate poses if needed and make sure you feel comfortable at every step. The best shots are rarely the ones anyone planned. They happen when you’re just present, comfortable and yourself.
This is a collaboration. There’s no rush and no fixed script. We go at your pace and see where it takes us.
Usually within a week of your shoot, you’ll receive a link to your private online gallery. It’s yours to browse through in the comfort of your own home.
From there, you choose what you love. I have 3 different packages available. If you’d like some help deciding, an online viewing can be arranged.
Once you’ve made your choices, I’ll edit your chosen images within one to two weeks.
Your prints will be presented in a gift box with cut-out window and will be ordered and ready for collection or delivery within 2 weeks of ordering them. Each print comes with a polaroid-style frame which has a space underneath the photo left blank for you to add your own message if you’d like.

Have a question?
I’m based in Leigh-on-Sea and offer my services across the Southend area, on occasion I travel to London and around Essex (a small travel surcharge applies).
Sessions can take place in my studio in Leigh on Sea, at your home, on location or in a hired space (a hotel room, an Airbnb or wherever feels right for the style of your shoot). We’ll discuss the best option during your consultation.
The shoot itself is around 90 minutes although there is no rush. If hair and makeup is included, allow just over an hour beforehand. That’s a great time to chat, settle in and get into the right headspace before we start.
As early as you can, ideally three to six months before your wedding date. This gives us plenty of time for preparation, the shoot itself and ordering your prints without any last minute pressure. That said, if your wedding is closer than that, get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
This is a limited introductory offer exclusively available to new bridal boudoir clients and applies towards your chosen package, not the session fee.
To claim it, download your voucher and use the code when enquiring via my contact page here to book your session.
Your package doesn’t need to be chosen at booking stage. You’ll select it after viewing your gallery, once you’ve seen your images. Your voucher will be applied to your package invoice.
Your voucher is valid for one year from the date of download.
Once you’ve chosen your images I’d recommend allowing at least 2-3 weeks before your wedding date for prints to be ordered, produced and delivered. Please make sure you let me know your wedding date when booking so we can plan the timeline together.
It depends on availability for the shoot itself and lead time for the prints. Get in touch as soon as possible and we’ll work out whether it’s achievable. I’ll always be honest with you about what’s realistic.
Before your wedding you’ll hand your prints, each sealed in an envelope, to your chosen friend or bridesmaid in advance. They’ll find a quiet moment during the morning preparations and hand him one sealed envelope. Your wedding photographer will be there to capture his reaction.
Throughout the day your friend will hand over more sealed envelopes at moments chosen carefully for privacy. Each one a little surprise.
All packages include sturdy 25 prints. How you distribute them across the morning and the day is entirely up to you. If you wanted little control over which print is delivered when, you can number them. We can talk about timing and ideas during your consultation.
Schedules can run late on wedding day, the most important thing is choosing someone you trust completely and briefing them well in advance. I’d suggest having a simple plan agreed between you both before the day so there’s no confusion. The prints are yours regardless — even if the delivery doesn’t go perfectly to plan, you’ll still have the most beautiful gift waiting for him.
Yes. Each print comes with a polaroid-style frame left blank specifically for this. You can write directly onto the frame or leave them as they are. Supplied white envelopes are included for each print.
Each image is printed on Fine Art Mohawk Eggshell 324g paper and measures 10x12cm with a printable image area of 8.1×8.1cm in a polaroid-style frame. They’re presented in a gift box with a cut-out window.
A one minute film from your session, edited and set to music capturing the mood and movement of your shoot. Delivered as a digital file alongside your images.
Absolutely and I’d encourage it. Your friend will bring your wedding photographer with them for the moment he opens the first envelope. This is something worth coordinating with your photographer in advance so they’re ready and expecting it.
I’m happy to connect with your wedding photographer to make sure they are aware of your gift to your husband-to-be and the reaction moment is captured. For venue-specific logistics, your friend and wedding coordinator are best placed to handle the timing on the day itself.
There are always options. Could the first envelope be delivered once he arrives at the venue, just before the ceremony? Could your friend take a few photos on their phone to document his reaction? We’ll talk through your specific timeline and circumstances during our consultation and find the best way to make this moment work for you.
If you’ve already chosen your wedding day/night lingerie this is the perfect opportunity to wear it and to have beautiful photographs of it before the big day. A veil, garter or your bridal morning gown are also lovely options to consider. We’ll talk through your wardrobe choices during preparation so you arrive feeling ready and excited.
