Every business has a surface and then there’s what’s underneath. It’s your values, your voice, the thing that makes you different from everyone else doing what you do. That’s what I’m really interested in.
Professional brand images build the trust. Your own behind the scenes, your everyday content builds the connection. Both matter and when they work together, your marketing stops feeling like a chore, it will be easier and even fun.
When my clients see images of themselves they actually love, not tolerate, not “that’ll do,” actually love, they start sharing more consistently, with confidence and stop dreading the next post.
It’s more than pretty pictures. We’re here to shape how your brand is seen online.
Based in Leigh-on-Sea, I work with small businesses and entrepreneurs across Southend, Essex and beyond
— at your place of work, on location or wherever best represents your brand.
What cuts through crowded industry isn’t a better logo or a more polished website. It’s knowing exactly what you stand for and making sure that shows visually. A considered image library built around your values, your working style and what makes you genuinely different gives your ideal client a reason to choose you over anyone else doing what you do.
People buy from people and they buy from people they trust. Professional brand images shows that you take your business seriously, that you’re invested in how you show up and that you’re worth paying attention to. From your website to your social platforms to your email newsletter, consistent professional imagery builds confidence in your audience that turns followers into clients.
Most of the content you create needs a visual. Stock images are generic by definition, they belong to anyone. Having your own library of images that are specifically, intentionally yours means less time trawling websites every time you need a picture and more time actually running your business. Open your folder, pick your image, post with confidence.

Not sure where to start with your brand imagery? This straightforward guide breaks down the five essential shots every business needs with practical tips and real examples from brand shoots I’ve worked on.
Headshot and personal brand photographer
Photographer, small business owner and the person who will probably ask you more questions about your business than your accountant (I know, I was one of them!).
I know what it feels like to show up online when you’re not sure your images represent what you’ve actually built. That’s exactly why I approach every brand project the way I do. I start with a conversation, not a camera.
How I can help
How is your brand seen online?
Because when you have images you’re genuinely proud of, it changes how you show up, how often you share and how your potential clients see you.
Quick overview
Think of a brand shoot as a large umbrella covering headshots, candid lifestyle images and styled on-brand stock photos. More personality, more variety. The result is a diverse library of images that communicates the essence of your business.
From the initial discovery call through to delivery, every part of the process is designed to give you images that actually represent the business you’ve built and the person behind it.
Let’s create images together that feel aligned, intentional and human.
First impressions are important. Whether for your website, LinkedIn, press features or speaking engagements, these are the images people see before they’ve read a single word about you. Portraits don’t have to be formal or forced, I photograph people the way that feels like them.
Twice yearly I also run a Headshot day. This is a great option if you’re looking for a quick, focused session. Find out more →
Add-on short form video content for your social platforms, captured alongside your brand shoot. These are story-led clips that focus on you and the moments behind your work, creating moving images that helps your audience connect with what you do.
Short clips as shot or bespoke ready-made short films for your website or social media.
Creating your images is only part of the process. Knowing how to use them to their full potential is where most people get stuck and where this session comes in.
A one-to-one Zoom session designed around your specific images, your brand and your marketing. Not generic advice. A personalised conversation that helps you see your own work differently and walk away with a clear, practical plan for using it with confidence.
Available as a Zoom session within a month of your photoshoot or as a stand-alone digital pdf (details on the pricing page).

HOW IT WORKS
We start with a conversation; a no-obligation discovery call where we talk about your business, what you need visually and how I can help. Just a chat to see if we’re a good fit.

You’re not alone and it’s almost never about how you look. It’s the not knowing what to do, where to look, how to be natural when someone points a camera at you. The worry that the result won’t match your vision.
I’ll prepare with you, guide you on the day and we’ll co-create together. Because the best brand images come from both of us being fully invested in the outcome.
By the time we’re done, you’ll have images you’re genuinely proud to use; ones that show your people who you are, what you do and what it actually feels like to work with you. The kind you reach for confidently rather than scroll past apologetically.
Have a question?
I’m based in Leigh-on-Sea and offer my services across the Southend area, though I travel to London, around Essex and beyond.
A headshot session focuses on professional portraits: clean but full of personality images of you. A brand shoot is a much larger umbrella, covering headshots, lifestyle and candid images and styled on-brand stock photos all in one session. I wrote a this blog post on this if you’d like to explore the difference in more detail.
It depends on how clear your vision is and how much preparation time we need together. If you have a strong sense of what you want, a week can be enough. If you’d like more time to explore ideas and work through the guides because of your busy work schedule, two to three weeks would be ideal.
Not at all. Some clients arrive knowing exactly what they want. Others know what they definitely don’t want. Either is completely fine. Throughout our initial conversation we’ll work out exactly what we need to capture your business in a way that feels aligned. The specifics we work out through our preparation.
That’s absolutely fine. Brand photography communicates your story as it is right now. Even if you don’t have everything figured out, including your brand voice, colours, you know what you want to offer, the kind of service you provide and how you want to show up. Businesses and their owners evolve constantly. I have clients who still mix and match images from shoots spanning five years.
I’ll send you my brand guides to get you started and a questionnaire that helps you dive into the feeling you want your images to evoke. By the time we have our pre-shoot consultation, we’ll have clear vision of what we’re creating together.
Yes, it’s an important decision. Location sets the entire feel of your images so we’ll talk through options carefully during our consultation. Whether that’s your workspace, a location that reflects your brand or somewhere more unexpected, we’ll find what works for you.
My guide covers the general do’s and don’ts in detail. One thing I always say that rather than matching your outfits to your brand colours, I prefer them to complement. It’s less rigid and you won’t get the shade wrong.
Not all blues are your blue. We can swap outfits, layer up or down throughout the shoot and above all, wear something you feel confident and comfortable in. Well fitted, not too restrictive. Your discomfort will show in the photos.
Absolutely. Showing how you work, who you work with and what that looks like in practice is all part of telling your brand story. We can include group shots, mock consultations, treatments, meetings etc. We’ll talk through the best way to capture what you do at our initial call.
Video is available as an add-on to your brand photography shoot rather than as a standalone session. We’ll discuss what you need during the discovery call.
This depends on your session type. Please refer to my pricing page for full details on what’s included here.
Brand and commercial shoots are prioritised in my editing schedule. Although turnaround depends on the season, I aim to have your gallery ready within two weeks of your shoot date.
My editing style is natural, true colours, real skin tones. I remove spots and blemishes across all images but approach editing differently depending on the shot type. Headshots receive more detailed editing and refinement. Candid and lifestyle images are kept natural and true to the moment.
Yes, I’m happy to arrange a payment plan leading up to your shoot date. Due to the nature of digital images, your gallery will be released once the remaining balance has been paid.
