Let me tell you a story…
Every year, since my kids were babies (and even before that with our puppy), I’ve designed a personalised Christmas card to send to the people we love but don’t see enough. Usually, a simple collage of photos, a little update on how everyone has grown, the dog very much included. It lands on their doormat and for that moment, we’ve connected.
That’s why I started offering these sessions.
These minis exist for families who want a few beautiful, simple photographs to share at Christmas. It’s not a full production. No painted backdrops of snowy scenes, fireplaces or Christmas trees. Just a portrait that captures exactly who you are this year because next year, everyone will look a little different.
One thing less on your Christmas list. Christmas cards they’ll actually keep pinned on the fridge way past Christmas.

PACKAGE 1
Simple, warm and completely un-cheesy portraits in my Leigh-on-Sea studio. Just you, your family and some good light.
Bring your favourite knits, matching pyjamas, jazziest Christmas jumpers or just yourselves — simple Christmasy props are provided. No fake backdrops.
Want something a little different? My Little Personalities portrait series makes a beautiful Christmas gift — 20 images of your child’s personality in a printed grid.
PACKAGE 2
For families who want the real Christmas magic captured — candid, not perfect and maybe little chaotic but gloriously yours.
Think cookie baking, tree decorating, playing family board games under the Christmas tree — an hour in your home doing the things you actually do at Christmas. These are the photographs your children will want to keep.

Your session will take place from November but you can book in advance if you have specific date in mind.
I’d advise to allow at least 2 weeks prior Christmas so they can be ordered and delivered too.
Please allow a week from date of order. Your private online preview gallery will be available to view within a week of your photoshoot.
Your well-behaved dog is welcome to come to your session.
A mini session is for immediate family only so we have a space to capture variety of images. If you would like to have only children photographed, I can accommodate cousins upto 5 children.
Something Christmasy is ideal although some clients opt for occasional wear, sparkly dresses or cosy knits as well. I have a selection of Christmas hats you’re welcome to use as well as some fun paper props for more fun images.
Yes, although these would be two separate bookings.
I don’t offer printing or design services but can recommend some online printing shops and Canva is a great place to find a template for a card in any size.
That’s the idea behind these mini sessions. For these images to be gifted in frames or cards.
In your questionnaire which will be emailed to you with your booking email, you can express the ideas you have for the activity for the photoshoot.
Some activities may require some preparation in advance – like preparing the dough for cutting out or maybe even different stage of baking (depending on what you’d like to capture).
For tree decorating, the tree may need to be already assembled etc.
This is to ensure we get the most out of time together but I want to emphasise that it doesn’t need to be stressful or perfect, it’s the experience that counts and the moments we capture in-between.
