These sessions are for mothers, grandmothers and mothers-to-be with their children. Immediate family only per session. I love capturing three generations together and grandmothers are very welcome with their grandchildren.

A Father’s Day equivalent runs in June — message me for details.

Complementing each other with style and colours avoids clashes and most importantly, wear something you feel good and comfortable in. Confidence comes from comfort. You might also find this blog post helpful for outfit inspiration. Although it is about Autumnal photoshoots, you may find it useful.

Just yourselves is perfectly fine.

A snack and water for after the session is always a good idea, especially for little ones. If you’d like to bring something personal — a favourite throw, your child’s beloved toy or a baby sling — these always make for lovely natural moments. Because these are time-limited sessions, I’d recommend keeping it simple so we can focus on being present and you having fun together.

Life happens and if you need to reschedule, please let me know at least 48 hours before your session where possible. If the session is outdoors and it rains, we’ll find another suitable date or relocate to my studio as a back-up. Overcast is never a problem, it actually gives us more freedom to shoot from different angles. I keep a close eye on forecasts but never cancel until the morning of the shoot, because forecasts don’t always manifest.

Not at all. Grown-up children with their mums are very welcome too. We may not have a tickle game going on but if you’re after a lovely portrait together, don’t hesitate to book in.

Your preview gallery will contain min. 20-30 images to choose from. Extra images beyond your 10 are available at £20 each or £10 each if you’re upgrading to the full gallery.

Natural with real skin tones, real colours. I won’t leave you with a spot on your nose or a bruise on your children’s knees, but I’ll keep all permanent features like freckles, moles and stretch marks unless you’d prefer otherwise. Blemishes are removed, skin is softened slightly for a fresh feel and under eyes brightened where needed — that one’s for the mums navigating sleepless nights. Every image gets individual attention. I don’t use presets or AI for editing.

I aim to have your preview gallery ready within a week of your shoot. Once you’ve finalised your order, your edited images will be ready to download within one to two weeks. Prints are batch ordered at the end of each month from a professional UK lab and I’ll let you know as soon as they arrive and you’re welcome to collect or I can post them to you within a few days of receiving them.
