Headshot day in Chalkwell Park - headshot photography, Leigh on Sea, Essex

On a brink of organising another headshot day, I’ve realised I haven’t even written about the first one! So, please let me introduce you to some amazing local businesses. They have trusted me to take some natural, on brand imagery to use on their social media and websites.

Short of time?

Headshot day is a great opportunity to grab shiny, new and updated images that you would be proud to share with your audience. And although it’s speedy, I take great care in creating photos that represent you and your business. I find spots that most fit your brief but also the brand aesthetics on your website or social media. Prior to your session, I will send out a questionnaire. I will learn more about you, your business and your needs ensuring I can provide you with much more individual service.

What we did last October...

My last (and first) headshot sessions day was held in Chalkwell Park, local to Leigh on Sea in October 2020. It turned out to be a location with variety of spots that suited all businesses quite well.

Even though I couldn’t secure the indoor space, the outside of Metal college in Chalkwell park offered a great variety for all. However, we had little rain in the afternoon and had to reschedule couple of slots to another afternoon, so next time I’d definitely like to include an option for inside.

As you can see from the images, one location can provide different feel for individual businesses and variety of backgrounds. To make it work for each client is very important to me and I strived to capture their personalities  within the brief provided.

The businesses involved...

Karen Harvey, permanent makeup artist, set off the morning, whose work you can find at www.karenharveyconran.com

Karen wanted her images to capture her personality, professionalism, confidence and trust.

Next stop was Nick Jarvis, personal blogger and mental wellbeing coach who you can find at www.instagram.com/nick.j.jarvis

Nick wanted his images to say happy, fun, approachable but also professional.

This is Sam Pitman, co-founder of Eco Essex providing tips, advice and support to like minded people on living more sustainable lifestyle. Sam’s brief was for natural, relaxed but impactful images.

Emily Morris is yoga and pilates teacher and you can find her teaching and how and where she supports her clients on www.emilymorrisyoga.co.uk

Emily’s brief was for authentic, calm and lighthearted images.

This is lovely Sarah Croud (whose garden design workshop I’m taking later this month through Create98. Sarah wanted her images to look natural, approachable but also caring with attention to detail. You can find her work at www.thegardenrevampcompany.co.uk

The last but not least, Yuen Li who I work with regularly on her therapy and product photography. We relocated her session due rain and shot at nearby cafe. Yuen is amazing holistic therapist and offers reiki, reflexology, massage, tuning fork treatment and also offers essential oil and fragrance candles. You can find all about her offerings at www.yuenlingli.com

I just loved the variety of professions of all the businesses involved that day and I really hope to continue offering Headshot days regularly (outdoors but also indoors).
